Silver Panda was born at the end of 2021 when Shlomi and Leo decided to turn a shared musical vision into something bigger.

The story began years earlier in the United States, where Leo was organizing psytrance events and invited Shlomi to perform at one of his parties. What started as a booking quickly developed into a friendship built around a shared passion for underground electronic music. Both artists came from strong psytrance backgrounds, a foundation that continues to shape the hypnotic energy, groove, and emotional depth found throughout Silver Panda's music today.

When the idea for a new project emerged, the timing felt natural. Despite living on opposite sides of the world — Shlomi, originally from Israel and now based in Thailand, and Leo, a Brazilian artist based in the United States — they set out to build Silver Panda as a truly global project from day one.

The name itself reflects that vision. They wanted something simple, memorable, and easy to pronounce anywhere in the world. Choosing an animal felt universal, and by pairing “Panda” with “Silver,” they created an identity that felt distinctive while remaining approachable.

Since launching, Silver Panda has grown into an internationally recognized electronic music act, earning support from some of the industry's biggest names and collaborating with artists including John Summit, Moby, Massano, and most recently Armin van Buuren on their interpretation of Depeche Mode's iconic “Enjoy The Silence.” Their releases have achieved major Beatport milestones, including the #1 top-selling melodic techno track of 2024, while also becoming one of the most supported projects on 1001Tracklists.

As the project continues to evolve, Silver Panda is entering a new creative chapter. While melody remains a core part of their identity, the duo has been embracing a groovier, more rhythm-driven approach inspired by the dancefloor energy that first connected them to electronic music. Drawing from their psytrance roots while looking beyond genre boundaries, they continue to shape a sound that feels both familiar and forward-thinking.

Their journey has taken them to clubs and festivals across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, building a reputation for performances that balance emotion, groove, and energy. Because of the distance between them, Silver Panda performances are often delivered individually, allowing the project to maintain a global touring schedule while preserving a unified creative vision. Whether appearing together or separately, the focus remains the same: creating meaningful moments on the dancefloor.

Alongside their artist project, the duo founded Panda Lab Records, which grew into one of Beatport's leading electronic music labels, reaching #1 Overall Hype Label and #4 in melodic techno.
